Urban trees are hitting the headlines more than ever, whether it's a campaign to save street trees, the debate over resilience to pollution, pests and disease, or the importance of maintaining and increasing our large-canopy tree cover in towns and cities.

To achieve healthy, vibrant trees in urban environments it is essential to get it right from the start: to help our developer clients plant the right kinds of trees in the correct way we have drafted a document designed to be incorporated into a planning application that brings all the elements to consider in one place, backed up by our technical arboricultural understanding.

Root volume, tree specification, pit detail and irrigation are all covered, based on our experience of successful planting projects and using the expertise of the Trees and Design Action Group (TDAG) publication 'Trees in Hard Landscapes' and various manufacturers of planting products such as GreenBlue Urban.

Please get in touch if you would like to see a copy of our 'greenprint' or discuss any issues to do with trees in hard landscapes.
