Green Issues

Green issues

The term ‘green issues’ sums up JP Associates’ area of professional operation. It covers anything that is or could be perceived to be green, including trees, vegetation, landscape, soil, ground conditions and gardens. As a consultant – rather than a contractor – it can give clear, independent advice on how to manage these issues according to established and emerging scientific principles and best practice, and within any regulatory framework.

Development        JP Associates offers a comprehensive range of services to developers including site appraisal, surveys and reports, constraint and implication studies, protection fencing specification, discharge of planning conditions, and help with construction, sales, customer care and adoption issues.

Japanese Knotweed

Actively involved with the Devon Knotweed Forum, JP Associates specialises in supervising the control of Knotweed on development sites in compliance with all statutory and waste regulations and best practice principles.

High hedges         Much of the company’s work involves consulting on, managing and resolving conflict involving trees and other green issues. It will be heavily involved with the implementation of the High Hedges Regulations.

Design                  Trees and green issues are now rightly regarded as essential factors in any development project and as such they must be considered a primary design issue. JP Associates can offer detailed design advice to layout, engineering, landscape and development control designers.

Related consultancy

As part of its green issue service, JP Associates maintains close links with related professional disciplines. It can call on experienced ecologists, landscape designers and specialist health and safety consultants. Through these links it can offer a ‘one-stop-shop’ consultancy for any size project.

Partnership         JP Associates is always happy to submit fee proposals for individual pieces of work. However as green issue management covers such a wide area, it can best represent clients’ interests when working as part of a project team.
